STATEMENT
MARGIE DARROW - VISUAL ARTIST
Margie Darrows' artwork is based on the perspective of being
an objective observer.
Applying this important principle to the artwork highlights her observations
and
allows the viewer to draw their own conclusion. Utilizing this non-judgmental
voice infuses
a positive nature within the art.
Darrow is inspired by human nature, wildlife, historical cultures and concerns
of the present. Although much of her work is abstract, the concepts and content
are
based in reality. The visual emphasis of Darrows' work is a unity of geometric
elements and a cohesive build up of many transparent layers of colors.
This blend of shapes and a one-of-kind color palette achieves a dreamy inter-lit
quality that
resonates from her work.
Expanding
from her beginnings in illustration and as an acrylic painter, Darrow has
branched out into
a wide range of creative formats, endeavors and collaborations.
Excelling beyond painting she creates uniquely shaped three dimensional wood
wall pieces that
accentuate light and shadow. She has formed collaborations to create mixed
media sculpture
for public art and developed unique partnerships for performance
in live art in several mediums.
In
the community Margie is active in many projects, as a leader and a volunteer.
She uses her artistic abilities to influence positive awareness to lead others
into action.
